About

I’m a software engineer with a degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Sabancı University and a Master’s in Software Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

I was introduced to cloud computing on my very first day at SAP, where I worked on geospatial databases and auto-scaling systems. Two years later, I took a short detour into mobile development at Fleksy, a San Francisco startup. While there, I got to work on all sorts of prototypes — from car consoles and video game controllers to hand-tracking systems and even smart fabrics. That’s also when I realized how much AWS could simplify and accelerate development for the entire team — and I’ve been focused on cloud and infrastructure ever since.

After returning to Istanbul in 2016, I freelanced for a year before joining Lifemote Networks in 2017. There, I designed and built distributed systems that handle millions of requests per minute, set up multi-account AWS organizations, and created CI/CD pipelines from scratch for a growing engineering team. Since 2021, I’ve been serving as CTO at Lifemote, leading the technical vision while staying hands-on with architecture and infrastructure.

In recent years, I’ve focused heavily on cloud security — from vulnerability management and zero-trust architectures to least-privilege access and intelligent threat detection — and I share what I learn through blog posts and presentations.

Outside of work, I love painting miniatures, reading comic books, playing board games with friends, and hunting for pop art pieces whenever I can. I’ve got a soft spot for elegant designs and sunny days — they always brighten my mood and inspire me.
